George Currie, M. A. has been helping people make successful life and career transitions since 2001.   A popular career transition coach and expert professional résumé writer, he holds a master’s degree in Business Management and Personnel, and has served in senior executive, HR and personnel management positions in several large organizations.

CurrieOver the past decade, Mr. Currie has presented numerous public seminars and workshops on career transition related subjects, such as: “How to create a value-based and achievement-oriented résumé”; “The critical importance of a well-crafted cover letter”; “Getting the job offer through effective interviewing skills” (Mr. Currie’s extremely successful interview training program was the subject of a Florida Times-Union feature article in 2004); “Salary negotiations”; “Dealing with executive recruiters”; and “Networking techniques”.  

George is a retired Commander, U. S. Naval Reserve (Aviation) and has successfully coached many retiring and separating military officers and senior enlisted personnel into fulfilling post-military careers.

A single dad for many years, George has been blessed with two wonderful children – a gifted son, John, who is a computer information specialist and college campus minister; and, a beautiful (inside and out!) daughter, Mary, who has recently begun her study of medicine as a student at the Florida State University’s College of Medicine.George with Plane 

George continues his life-long interest in aviation as a private pilot in Florida, flying for the same reasons Charles LindburghGeorge and Sandy Flying gave – “… for the science, beauty, freedom and adventure” of it.   He often takes his fearless fiancé, Sandy, up for a “fright”. Travel, tennis, writing and active leadership participation in various civic and faith-based organizations round out his avocational pursuits.
