Life Transitions

If you are in a life transition
due to retirement, “empty nest”, work-related problems or changes (promotions, redefined job responsibilities, downsizing, etc.), divorce, a spiritual trial, “mid-life crisis”, physical challenges… or any other significant change in life, workplace, or relationship circumstances, I will coach you in –

  1. Goal setting and achievement
  2. Time management and focusing techniques
  3. Motivation, self confidence and accountability
  4. Interpersonal communications skills (concerning relationships within and outside of the workplace)
  5. Conflict resolution
  6. Problem solving
  7. Resolving difficult personnel issues (in the workplace)
  8. Managing “chaos” during times of uncertainty
  9. Personal and “corporate” stress reduction
  10. Eliminating bad habits

(Note: When a life or workplace transition may affect work performance, coaching can often be a business expense and a very appropriate use of corporate personnel and executive training funds. Please refer to the paragraph on “Business…” below.)

“Excellent! Thought provoking.” – Operations Manager, Tampa manufacturer

► About Life Transition Coaching…

Life transitions coaching can be done by phone, or in person. Sessions are scheduled in advance at a mutually convenient time. Sessions are available mornings, afternoons, and most evenings during the week. Occasional weekend sessions may be scheduled as necessary.

One to three or more sessions in sequence are possible, if scheduled that way, or if there is no follow-on client and time allows.

Face-to-face sessions normally last 1 hour and are generally scheduled for 2 hour blocks, while phone sessions are typically 45 minutes long. (This is to allow for back-to-back phone sessions with other clients, note-taking, bathroom breaks, etc., while not delaying or inconveniencing the next scheduled client.)

The topic of discussion and coaching for each session is normally client driven and preferably decided upon in advance, but I will often make suggestions regarding issues to be addressed where I deem appropriate. Emergent topics are always welcome, but advance notice allows for more research and preparation on both our parts.

My overall approach is that coaching is “client goal driven” – In other words, I work for you, with you… to achieve the goal(s) we set together early on in the coaching process.

“Thanks for the great preparation. Your easy going yet professional demeanor significantly reduced the stress of this transition.” – R. K., CEO

I endeavor to always be available by phone to my coaching clients, who are given exclusive access to my personal cell phone number for urgent matters.

Again, coaching is not mental health counseling, although coaching often has positive effects on your mental, emotional and physical well-being (reduced stress and anxiety, better focus, motivation, self confidence, etc.). If I feel you have an underlying mental health issue which also needs to be addressed, I will promptly and respectfully refer you to an appropriate medical professional.

“Your words of encouragement made the difference during that rough time… more than you know.” – F. P., Personnel & Training Manager

► Life Transitions Coaching Fee Structure

Coaching is offered in blocks of 7, 45 minute phone sessions, or 7, one hour face-to-face sessions for $650 prepaid.

Purchasing blocks of time allows for a reduction in cost over the normal phone coaching rate, simplifies administrative activities, encourages a stronger level of commitment to the process (by both coach and client) and, perhaps most importantly, helps to ensure continuity, accessibility and effectiveness in purpose and plan.

In person coaching is always a good option, if you live in the Northeast Florida area, and you would prefer to come to my office in Orange Park. Otherwise, arrangements can be made for on site coaching for executives and groups. There are reasonable travel and time expenses added.

Visa, MasterCard via a secure Paypaltransaction

► Business executive (individual or group) and corporate management and personnel individual coaching sessions and group workshops
are also offered -

Important corporate and business financing note: Keep in mind that when a life or work-related transition may affect workplace performance (as so often happens), coaching can often be a business expense and a very appropriate use of corporate personnel and executive training or administrative funds, whether it is conducted on site or by phone. It’s a very wise and proactive way to ensure continued optimum personnel (and management) performance during times of stress and tension.
